In the late Victorian era George Dixon was a pioneering educationalist in Birmingham. A school in the city still bears his name. In July 2021, a Birmingham Civic Society blue plaque was unveiled on the site of one his former schools, which is now the Ikon Gallery on Brindleyplace. Latest
