This edition of Ladywood History group’s magazine is a 20-page special on the Commonwealth Games and the construction of the National Indoor Arena where the gymnastics events will take place for the Commonwealth Games. One of the competing gymnasts, Joe Fraser from Ladywood, is featured in this magazine and we wish him well in his quest for gold at the Games. The magazine also contains features on the history of Osler Street School, Ladywood and the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Docker Brothers paint factory.
